India's northeast region is a land of verdant valleys, and salient hills along with the mighty Brahmaputra-Barak river system covering the land with its many tributaries is a place with varied geographical features spread amongst the famously known seven sisters.

The study is centred along with communities that have been inhibited by the advent of the industrial age until the last few decades. Who are known to live with nature, adapt to the contextual and topographical conditions while trailing across the region. The floating landmasses in the waters of the Loktak Lake of Manipur, or the houses along the stepped fields filled with rice and fish in the Ziro valley; the snow-capped the eastern Himalayas in the Tawang valley of Arunachal Pradesh; hills and plains of Tripura; Meghalaya is one of the wettest places on earth where the roots of trees are woven to create bridges; the river Brahmaputra drains the state of Assam creating varying ecologies along its bank along with housing the largest habitable river island in the world.

A metaphoric expression and symbolism highlighted in the communities' practices spewed across the northeastern front of the country.
