The material research involved identifying and categorising the possible construction materials found in and around Jabad. Based on the local construction in the nearby villages and other material identified around the site. These materials can be classified into three broad categories; soil types, plant-based additives and animal-based additives. All the specified materials possess properties that can be used as building construction materials, and experiments have been carried out to test the same.
