Windows to Vernacular x Cane & Bamboo Training Centre(CBTC), Guwahati

Partnering with the Cane and Bamboo Training Centre (CTBC), Assam, along with students of Academy of Architecture, Mumbai and the Windows to Vernacular team. We explored the use and processes involved with bamboo construction in the 21st century; in one of the extremely heavy rainfall receiving areas the country of India. A step-by-step process involves understanding the details involved at various stages, including identifying, treating, segregating, anchoring and tying. The collaboration outcome was building a two-wheeler parking for the members of the Cane and Bamboo Training Centre.
