Project Fuel x Windows to Vernacular

The last village before the trek for the Pindari glacier commences, Khati is a small village frequented by trekkers worldwide. The village boys indulge in being local guides and, over the years, have collected multiple memorabilia from the visiting traveller.

In 2018, Project Fuel executed its Wise Walls project in this village, and thus, the idea of retrofitting an old village house into a museum of memories was envisioned.

This project involved converting the village into an experiential space with memory objects sharing the stories of the place. The house's existing structure is retained, and a new level is added for the added functions of the project.

The project is under a collaborative platform headed by Project Fuel, Dehradun. The project is currently in the design phase and is awaiting budget approval. The images shared are visual renders of the space.
