A study set in an alpine setting where temperatures reach sub-zero levels during the winter months and with limited access to resources, communities have developed a self-sufficient mechanism to find means to survive the harsh winters. The community saw ways to stock up produce for the winters, an effective system that is an integral part of the planning and designing of buildings in the region.

The study involves studying the various alterations within the built fabric to integrate and support the various practices to stock up for the winter season.
