Windows to Vernacular x Dharmalaya Institute

Windows to Vernacular was a part of an earth building workshop at Dharmalaya, Bir, Himachal Pradesh. Set on the principles of Didi Contractor, who works with building techniques adapted from the region's traditional wisdom. Making mud blocks, creating and applying mud plaster and learning to work with bamboo for various parts of the structure gave us our first insight into using and playing with natural materials.
