The nomadic, pastoral communities of Kutch prowled through the inhospitable terrain trading with one another for food and clothing, traversing from regions of Sindh and Rajasthan. Dotting the Kutchi landscapes, the communities crossed paths settling in isolated clusters around the region. Occupations and skills were communal and perfected by generations. The dependent in-dependency was nested in the landscapes, following the mellow rhythms of season and need, within communities across the lengths and widths of the region.
